Thanks to the blockbuster success of IT, Stephen King is the hottest author around these days. Another one of his classic works is being adapted. This time by Netflix. Bet the streaming service is hoping 1922 follows in the success of the creepy clown horror flick rather than another King adaptation, Dark Tower, which bombed in theaters this summer.
1922 is based on King’s novella of the same name. The story opens with the confession of Wilfred James to the murder of his wife, Arlette, following their move to Hemingford, Nebraska onto land willed to Arlette by her father.
Thomas Jane, who previously appeared in another King film, 2007’s The Mist, plays Wilfred James. He’s joined by Neal McDonough and Molly Parker. 1992 is available to stream starting October 20. Check out the trailer below.
Life is rarely fair. Based on the novella by Stephen King, comes a new Netflix Film, 1922. Premieres October 20th, only on Netflix.
