“In just six episodes, Star Trek: Discovery has driven subscriber growth, critical acclaim and huge global fan interest for the first premium version of this great franchise,” said Marc DeBevoise, president of CBS Interactive. “This series has a remarkable creative team and cast who have demonstrated their ability to carry on the Star Trek legacy.”
Like its streaming counterparts, CBS All Access hasn’t shared viewership numbers. The only morsel of information released was that its launch fueled record subscriber sign-ups in a single day, week and month. In other words, the usual PR jargon.
New episodes of Discovery are released weekly, with new episodes premiering Sundays at 8:30 pm ET on CBS All Access. Its midseason fall finale is set for November 12. It’ll return with six new episodes beginning in January.
