If you watched Super Bowl LII, no doubt you saw the first look at Solo: A Star Wars Story. That was just the tip of the iceberg. The studio just released a full-length teaser trailer of the highly-anticipated standalone Hans Solo film. And it has me even more stoked.
“I’ve been running scams on the street since I was 10,” Alden Ehrenreich says in the clip. “Kicked out of the Flight Academy for having a mind of my own.”
Ehrenreich takes on the monumental task of playing the iconic scoundrel as a young man, famously played by Harrison Ford in the original Star Wars trilogy. The 28-year-old actor is joined by Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton and Phoebe Waller-Bridge with Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.
Rogue One was the franchise’s first-ever attempt at a spinoff story on the big screen. And it was met with massive success. The stakes are even higher for this film because of Han Solo’s legendary icon status. If the film’s revenue doesn’t exceed Rogue One, it’ll definitely be considered a failure.
Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives May 25, 2018. Check out the exciting teaser below. It’s a little odd seeing the Millennium Falcon brand new and clean.
