One of my favorite gadgets in my kitchen is without a doubt my SodaStream. In case you don’t know what it is, it is a device that allows you to carbonate your own water at home, and then add flavored syrup (comes in sugar-free as well) so that you can make your own soda. There are over 60 yummy flavors in total! Not only is SodaStream insanely convenient and easy to use, it also saves you money in the long run and most importantly is far better for the environment.

“With SodaStream, you can save 2,000 bottles and cans a year,” the company states. With people not buying all of those bottles & canned sodas, the soda company giants are not too thrilled. U.K. broadcast company Clearcast banned the ad before it was set to debut during a commercial break from the UK’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. Clearcast gave the following explanation for their decision: “In our view, its visual treatment denigrated other soft drinks which put it in breach of the BCAP code.’

SodaStream recently announced that they’ll be airing a commercial during the SuperBowl in February (maybe even this one). In the banned commercial, cases of pop bottles explode every time someone uses their SodaStream. Watch it below.
