Last night, Daniel Radcliffe hosted SNL with musical guest, Lana Del Rey. Some sites haven’t been to kind in their reviews of the episode, but I myself thoroughly enjoyed it! As alway, the episode started off with the opening monologue, where SNL got as much of the Harry Potter jokes out of the way as possible (with the exception of a skit that was yet to come later in the episode).

So you’re probably wondering where the sex appeal came from with Radcliffe in this episode? Well, it started off in a “Target Lady” sketch led by queen of funny, Kristin Wiig. Radcliffe played a stock boy that had the hots for her and at one point ripped open his shirt to reveal the “Hairy” in Harry Potter. There’s something to be said for the “au natural” body grooming. For some people (including Radcliffe), it works.

Another segment was “Spin The Bottle,” where Radcliffe found himself having to kiss all the boys, one after the other. Of course, the guys were dressed as dirty street bums, but still… Harry Potter was kissing boys, and for some people’s fantasies… “Lengardian leviosa”. WINK.

As far as the musical guest Lana Del Ray, I read on Twitter somewhere that someone called her their least favorite Kristin Wiig character. No joke, I actually thought to myself while watching her performances, that I would have much rather preferred Wiig doing her own interpretation of Del Ray – and it wouldn’t have been far off. People just did not like it.

Some of my other favorite sketches included “Exit Polling” and the several “Vote For Glenda Okones 2012″ Mayoral campaign messages.

Daniel Radcliffe – Monologue

Snooki meets Harry Potter = priceless.

SNL – “Target Lady”

I love the Target Lady! “Where’d you get that!” LOL.

Weekend Update – “Casey Anthony’s Dog”

This one was quite funny as well.

SNL – “Spin The Bottle”

Almost every male cast member gets dirty (in the sexual and non-sexual sense) and locks lips with Radcliffe.

SNL – “Exit Polling”

This was probably one of my favorite sketches all night. “Would I look good with bangs?”

What was your favorite sketch from last night’s episode?
