Now that we’ve crowned a winner for the 2012 Model Behavior Showdown, it’s time to start picking contenders for the 2013 crown. To kick off the new year in style, I thought I’d select one of the fashion industry’s biggest stars as my first Model Behavior post of the year. Since, I’ve already featured the No. 1 model in the world (Sean O’Pry) according to models.com, I thought it was Simon Nessman’s turn in the spotlight. The Canadian-born model is currently ranked No. 2 on the fashion website. This kid is literally everywhere.
Nessman was born in Courtenay, British Columbia and is of Austrian and Scottish descent. The 23-year-old male model is known for his luscious lips and innocent look. He was discovered when his sister’s friend sent pictures of him to an agency. After that, his career sky-rocketed. Immediately, he scored gigs for Ralph Lauren and Givenchy. Simon has been the face of Versace, D&G and Armani.
His editorial credits include campaigns for John Galliano, Gap, H&M, Barneys, Lanvin, Yves Saint Laurent and Calvin Klein to name a few. Nessman has walked on the runway for Roberto Cavalli, Tommy Hilfiger, Emporio Armani, Viktor & Rolf, Lacoste, Dsquared2, Narciso Rodriguez, Michael Kors and Salvatore Ferragamo. Currently, he’s represented by Storm (London), Ford Europe (Paris), Kult Agency (Hamburg), IMM Bruxelles (Brussels), I LOVE (Milan), Soul Artist (New York), nest model management (Berlin). If you’re a fan of Madonna, you might recognize the 6’2″ stud from her “Girls Gone Wild” music video which also co-starred Sean O’Pry, Rob Evans and Jon Kortajarena. Check out a sampling of this stud’s portfolio below.
