The second Little Mix dropped “Shout Out To My Ex,” it’s courted controversy. Fans of Zayn Malik weren’t too happy that their boy was being called out by his ex fiance Perrie Edwards and her girls. Secondly, girl group G.R.L. and their followers claimed the sassy girl anthem sounded way too similar to their hit, “Pretty Ugly.” Truthfully, the chorus definitely does, but I don’t care. I’m obsessed with “Shout Out To My Ex” and even more so after this fun clip.
Initially, I thought the girls headed to Las Vegas for their new music video, given the desert terrain and neon colors. In actuality, director Amalia Rosen-Rawlings filmed the UK quartet in Tabernas’ desert in Almeria, Spain. Who knew a city in Spain could be a stand-in for Sin City?
Overall, it’s a well-produced visual featuring the ladies serving up some girl power ‘tude. I wonder if any of the items thrown out during the car scene were actual gifts from Zayn to Perrie? I wouldn’t be surprised if they were.
Clearly, the label forked over some decent coin to promote the lead single off their upcoming fourth studio album, Glory Days. Check out the colorful clip below, featuring some gnarly purple-tinged trees. Obviously post-edit effects, but fun nonetheless.
