Just weeks before Bohemian Rhapsody arrives in theaters, a taste off the soundtrack arrives. Shawn Mendes teams up with his frequent collaborator Teddy Geiger to cover “Under Pressure” made famous by Queen and David Bowie. Proceeds from the track will be donated to Mercury Phoenix Trust to assist with the worldwide fight against HIV/AIDS.
“I am so honored to be able to support the amazing legacy of Freddie and Queen by doing a cover of one of my favorite songs, ‘Under Pressure,’” Mendes said in a statement. “It was so exciting to me to be able to do this with my close collaborator and one of my best friends, Teddy Geiger, for a cause that is very close to our hearts.”
Check out Mendes and Geiger’s rendition below. I can’t wait to hear what other covers of Queen classics are in store for us. So excited!!!
