September 2013: Five Must-See Movies

September is here and so is the rain (at least in Vancouver). That means it’s back to school for me, and also more time to check out movies, as there’s not much else to do in the rain. September looks like an exciting month for movies considering we’re now done with all the big summer blockbusters.

Here are my picks for this month…

5 Must-See September 2013 Movies

The Family

Opens September 13th

Why you should see it: An all star cast that includes Robert Deniro, that girl from Glee (Dianna Agron), and Michelle Pfeiffer in a film about ex mafia in the witness protection program.

Insidious Chapter 2

Opens September 13th

Why you should see it: For you horror fans out there… if you were as terrified as I was by the first Insidious, this second one is sure to deliver. That weird song seriously gives me nightmares. I love it.

Prisoners

Opens September 20th

Why you should see it: This Lovely Bones-esque film is said to have some impressive performances by both Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

Opens September 27th

Why you should see it: Because a world filled with food is freaking awesome, and this girl LIVES for puns.

The Secret Lives of Dorks

Opens September 27th

Why you should see it: Because you should watch anything with Beau Mirchoff (that cutie from Desperate Housewives).
