They say the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. In this case, it couldn’t be more appropriate. Throughout his career, Sean Penn has had a few run-ins with paparazzi including assaulting a cameraman on a film set back in 1987 and kicking one in 2009. Looks like he’s passing the torch to his 19-year-old son. At least, his offspring didn’t get physical. Though allegedly, a shove was given by the younger Penn.
Hopper Jack Penn, who was named after Dennis Hopper and Jack Nicholson, uttered homophobic and racial slurs at an African-American paparazzo from Splash News. The incident occurred on Tuesday in Beverly Hills while Hopper was accompanying his father to a medical office building. Sean walked in first, with Hopper following afterward. With the entire incident captured on film, obviously an apology was issued.
“I was accosted by paparazzi and made to feel like an animal – threatened and under attack, but that does not condone my own actions. I deeply regret my choice of words.” Hopper told TMZ
Just in case you didn’t know what those words were, one starts with a “n” and the other a “f.” Watch the whole thing go down in the video below.
Reportedly, cops were nearby when the altercation occurred. The photographer informed them it was just a verbal dispute and didn’t want to purse the matter any further. Any thoughts on the whole brouhaha? Sound off below.
