Sports Stud: Sean Avery

This week’s Sports Stud is the sexy Canadian NHL hockey payer, Sean Avery, who plays for the New York Rangers. He’s currently 30 years old (almost 31) and plays left wing, known for his success in distracting other players. in 1999, he first played for the Detroit Red Wings, moving to the LA Kings in 2003, New York Rangers in 2007/08, Dallas Stars in 2008, and the New York Rangers from 2009 to present.

The most interest thing I learned about him is double life, where he balances his time and interest in as a professional hockey player with his passion for fashion. In fact, it’s this that prompted New Line Cinema to develop a screenplay about him. One fashion report explains, “Avery is a self-confessed clotheshorse who has been known to give girlfriends advice on how to dress, and in interviews has expressed a dream to become a fashion editor after his days on the ice.” His teammates are really support of his fashion interest.

He’s been featured on MadTV, MTV Cribs, Punk’d, and TRL. In 2007, he was on People Magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive list (Matt Damon made the cover that year) and dated Elisha Cuthbert in the past. I’m not sure if he’s available now, or if he swings both ways. We can only hope.

Rough & tough on the ice.

So is this a metaphor for him being in the closet? Regardless, he looks hot shirtless.

Love the outfit – he is good at what he does! Looking sharp!

He’s even got the red carpet look nailed down.

Although there aren’t that many shirtless pictures of him available, to me there is still something sometimes equally as hot about a guy in shorts, Avery showing off his sexy legs while sitting at his desk.

Recently, Avery said he would help support any kid in Canada who wanted to come out to his hockey team.

“If there’s a kid in Canada or wherever, who is playing and really loves the game and wants to keep playing but he’s worried about coming out, I’d tell him to pick up the phone and call (NHLPA executive director) Donald Fehr and tell him to book me a (plane) ticket.

“I’ll stand beside him in the dressing room while he tells his teammates he is gay. Maybe if Sean Avery is there, they would have less of a problem with it.”Avery would support a gay player

Wow just read the article, and I actually have some respect for the guy despite his past issues.

Sean’s got a mouth on him, but unlike so many other douchebag hockey players, and I’m Canadian, he calls it like it is.
Most players are spoiled, homophobic, well dresses, jocks. Sean has a interned for Vogue and call hockey on the disgusting behaviour that goes on in the sports and many other sports.
In the past I have writing my support for him only to see them not published and scorn from others breeders that dislike his “non-starter” attitude.
    Good Job Sean!

  • GAY

Clearly he is gay. Sean if you really want to support the gay community COME OUT OF THE CLOSET YOURSELF. Now that you are retiring it will be easier for you. So rediculous the people who say “he cant be because he is a hockey player” I know a number of hard-core hockey players who are the gayest people youd ever meet…. if they admitted it.
