Scott Foley Heads Back To Primetime In Major Guest Starring Role

If FOX execs weren’t such numbnuts at times, Scott Foley would be gracing our televisions right now in the new comedy, The Goodwin Games. When the network revealed the sitcom co-starring Becki Newton (Ugly Betty) would be part of their 2012-13 television season, I was beyond ecstatic. Newton and Foley in the same show.. win, win.

Sadly, the show wouldn’t debut til midseason. Then just a few weeks ago, FOX disclosed the comedy was being pushed back to late spring or even summer. In other words, there’s a chance we might not even see it. FOX has a tendency to cancel shows even before airing a single episode. Even if The Goodwin Games does air, it certainly doesn’t have the support from the network. It’s definitely doomed. Yet, FOX is still trying to push Ben & Kate on us, which BTW, I gave up after a couple of episodes.

Thankfully, another network is giving what this Felicity fan wants… more Scott Foley. The 40-year-old has been tapped for a major story arc on one of my favorite shows of the moment. His role is being kept under wraps, but reportedly he’ll appear in the back nine episodes of this drama, leading to the season finale. Find out which show below.

Apparently Shonda Rhimes has a major hard-on for Foley as well. She’s hiring him again to spice things up for Scandal. Rhimes previously booked him for a semi-regular role on Grey’s Anatomy. Sadly, after 15 episodes he was killed off, leaving Dr. Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) and me devastated. Hopefully, he doesn’t meet his maker on the political drama. Scott has a tendency to die during his guest spots. True Blood comes to mind as well.

Are you excited for Scott’s return to network television? Are you watching Scandal? If not, what are you waiting for? That show is my everything right now on Thursday nights. I’m always on the edge of my seat with every twist and turn Rhimes throws at us. Plus, I have a little bit of a girl crush on Kerry Washington. How amazing is she? So glad Scandal‘s ratings have perked up and improving weekly. Definitely well deserved. Sound off below.
