Production has begun on Suicide Squad in Toronto. While the main cast has been set in stone for some time now, names are still being added to the highly-anticipated DC Comics supervillain film.
Canadian entertainment news outlet eTalk broke the news of Scott Eastwood’s addition. Clint’s son is certainly racking up the credits as of late. I have no doubt he’ll be a household name in the near future if he keeps this momentum.
No word on what role he’ll be playing but eTalk teased more details will be revealed later. The 29-year-old actor’s involvement in the film reunites him with director David Ayer. The two previously worked together on Fury.
There is also another casting development for Suicide Squad. Find out below who else is suiting up for the comic book flick.
Boxer turned actor Raymond Olubowale also snagged a role. While there is no confirmation on his part, speculation points to him playing King Shark. The 6’7″ athlete is best known on screen for his role in the Resident Evil franchise.
Eastwood and Olubowale join the star-studded cast which includes Will Smith, Margot Robbie, Jared Leto, Viola Davis, Joel Kinnaman, Jai Courtney and Cara Delevingne. Ed Harris, Jackie Earle Haley and Joe Manganiello are rumored to appear as well.
