Zac Efron To Voice Classic Cartoon Character In Upcoming Warner Bros Flick

Zac Efron recently bleached his hair blond. Did he do it specifically for his next role? Method acting perhaps?

The 31-year-old heartthrob has just signed on to voice blond cutie Fred in the upcoming Scooby-Doo animated film, simply titled Scoob. He’ll be joined by Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Will Forte as Shaggy and Gina Rodriguez as Velma. Frank Welker, who voiced the beloved canine in the 1969-1970 series Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! is reprising the role. Tracy Morgan is also attached to voice Captain Caveman.

Scoob will find the beloved Mystery Machine gang teaming up with other characters in the Hanna-Barbera universe to save the world from the evil Dick Dastardly.

The last time Scooby-Doo was seen on the silver screen was the sequel, Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed starring Freddie Prinze, Jr, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Matthew Lillard, Linda Cardellini and Seth Green. Remember that awful mess? So glad Warner Bros is going the animated route this time around.

Scoob is scheduled to arrive May 2020. Thoughts on Efron voicing Fred or any of the other cast members? Sound off below.
