Sarah Hyland Joins Dirty Dancing Remake

Sarah Hyland is the latest to join ABC’s upcoming remake of Dirty Dancing. The 25-year-old Modern Family actress has been cast as Lisa Houseman, Baby’s older sister. The role was originally played by Jane Brucker in the 1987 feature film.

Hyland joins previously announced cast members Abigail Breslin (Baby), Colt Prattes (Johnny Castle), Nicole Scherzinger (Penny) and Debra Messing (Baby’s mother). Unlike The Wiz, Grease and other recent television musicals, ABC’s Dirty Dancing three hour remake won’t be live.

If you don’t remember Lisa from the original film, be sure to check out her shining moment below. Her “Hula Hana” rehearsal had me chuckling the first time I saw it.
