Sarah Chalke’s Role On ‘Roseanne’ Revival Revealed

Ever since the network announced all the original cast members were returning for the Roseanne revival, most wondered what role Sarah Chalke would play. The former Scrubs actress stepped in to play Becky Connor for a couple seasons while Lecy Goranson attended Vassar College. But with Goranson back as well, the network announced Chalke would take on a new character.

Brilliantly, it still connects her with Becky. According to Entertainment Weekly, Chalke’s character Andrea is a middle-class married woman who hires Goranson’s Becky to serve as her surrogate.

“I love the part! It’s such a fun part to play,” Chalke told Entertainment Weekly “I was so excited to hear that it was coming back. I think the timing is perfect,” she says. “I think it’s exactly what is needed right now. Right now when the country is so divided, I really think it’s a show that brings people together. The writing is so unbelievable. It’s so funny.”

The Connors return to ABC on March 27 with an hour-long premiere. The following week on April 3, it’ll be paired with The Middle with the latter shifting to 8:30pm. Excited to watch the revival? Weigh in below.

I’m so excited. She was the better Becky, IMO. Glad she’s back.
