While a couple of fools in the NBA are dropping f-bombs all over the place, it’s nice to see we have allies in Major League Baseball. Both Kobe Bryant of the L.A. Lakers and Joakim Noah from the Chicago Bulls were fined for using “fag” during game time. Bryant was fined $100,000, while Noah was penalized to pay $50,000. Crime doesn’t pay and neither does using homophobic slurs. I’m probably going to get flack for this, but I don’t get offended by the word “fag“. If that’s the best you can think of to shake me, than that’s really sad. But back to the Giants.

The San Francisco baseball team is the latest to jump on board the “It Gets Better Project“. They’re the first professional sports team to film a video in hopes of inspiring teens who may be struggling during their high school years. Let’s hope this starts a snowball effect within the professional sports community. The influence athletes have on young boys is astronomical. Barry Zito, Matt Cain, Sergio Romo, Andres Torres, and coach Hensley “Bam Bam” Muelens are the Giants lending their voice to the cause. Watch it below.
