I completely forgot how much I love Sade, til I caught wind of her long-awaited new single. Epic Records released “Soldier of Love”, the lead single of Sade’s highly anticipated new album of the same name. The new album will be released worldwide on February 8, 2010 and it marks Sade’s first studio album since “Lovers Rock” in 2000.

It’s been 25 years since Sade first made a splash in the music industry. Instantly, she became a hit with her debut album “Diamond Life” and even snagged three Grammys for her debut- Best New Artist among the most prestigious. Since then, she has enjoyed a phenomenal career and has sold over 50 million albums worldwide.

On a personal note, one of Sade’s songs is one of two that Brian and I consider “our” song. Nope, I’m not going to divulge it- a boy has to have his secrets.

Her latest track is co-produced with Mike Pela and written by Sade along with a few longtime collaborators. Personally, I love the track. It features a pulsating drum beat with her signature haunting vocals. Words can’t even describe how excited I am to watch the video. All her videos are always so beautifully shot. My favorite hands down has to be “No Ordinary Love” where she plays a mermaid- frickin’ awesome. Sade is one of the most beautiful and classiest women in the world. I can’t believe I had to wait 8 years for new music from her- well worth the wait.
