Ryan Murphy Teases A Gay ‘Feud’ For Season Three

For season one of Feud, Ryan Murphy tackled female-on-female rivalry. The sophomore season will feature a male-on-female dynamic with Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s tumultuous relationship. The prolific 51-year-old producer recently teased he’s eying an all-male feud for the third season. And a gay one at that.

During a chat with Vanity Fair, Murphy said, “I have one good idea, but I have to get the right actors.” He added, “It’s something Mark Ruffalo and I had talked about hearing. He’s a buddy of mine from The Normal Heart, so we talked about something, but I don’t know yet. I haven’t locked into it.” When asked if he’d be exploring a gay man’s quarrel over the course of the series, he coyly answered, “Well, one of the characters is gay.”

Ooh, I’m intrigued. Sadly, we’ll have to wait at least a couple of years to see if Murphy actually follows through with this idea. He’s got plenty on his plate with upcoming seasons of American Horror Story, American Crime Story and Feud. Knowing him, he’ll probably sandwich more projects in between those shows. He loves to keep busy.
