The Hunt for a Killer Ends in Hope, B.C.

Last week I told you about Ryan Jenkins, from the reality show Megan Wants a Millionaire, was a person of interest in the murder of his Playboy/stripper wife (Jasmine Fiore). Over the past few days, the headlines on the papers were that they started to suspect that since he is originally from Canada, he’d try to hide out here and they started to speculate that he could have snuck across through Delta, so the border officials could not stop him.

Now, they have found him dead in his motel room in Hope, B.C.

The accused murderer was found hanging from a belt inside his room at the Thunderbird Motel in Hope. Hotel staff entered the room to check on him and found him there. The police identified the body just before 5pm yesterday. They haven’t confirmed how he got to Hope or how long he had stayed at the motel but some sources say he had paid cash for three nights.

The authorities had apparently tracked him to a marina in Blaine, Washington last Wednesday which is basically right at the border, and they had found his car and empty boat trailer there. The next day they found the boat in Point Roberts, Washington so they speculated that he got into Canada on foot.

The district attorney has stated, “Unfortunately this case has an end that nobody would wish for.” They had no intention of charging anybody else with the murder of Fiore, so I guess it’s case closed.

Fiore had been found on August 15th in Buena Park, California. “The victim had been badly beaten, all of her fingers had been cut off, and all of her teeth had been forcibly removed,” the district attorney’s office stated.

Jenkins was born in Victoria and moved to Calgary when he was a year old. His father is a prominent architect there with a lot of money. He had a history of violence and anger issues in previous relationships.

The VH1 show he was in stopped due to the murder and his suspected involvement.

What a frightening story.
