Russell Crowe is selling an undergarment, technically being referred to as a leather boxer protector, that he wore in the 2005 film, Cinderella Man. “Featured in the scene depicting the Heavy Weight Championship bout, James J. Braddock vs. Max Baer on 13 June 1935, brown suede leather with elastic support,” the official description states. It’s estimated to fetch in the neighborhood of $500-600. The highest bidder will also receive a letter from Russell Crowe stating his ownership.
The leather jockstrap is just one of the many pieces up for auction. Russell Crowe: The Art of Divorce features a selection of major works from the private collection of Crowe. The sale represents the dispersal of a highly personal collection that was assembled by Crowe over many years, including those shared with his former wife, Danielle Spencer.
