Since the short season of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars is going to be over before we know it, Logo has decided to start revving up their engines for Season 5 by releasing a short teaser trailer for the all new season.
In the current All-Star season, we were treated to a reprise of some of our favorite queens. That being said, it will be nice to have an all new cast to get to know and root for. Many fans haven’t found the “pairing up” situation in All-Stars to be that fair and that it feels as though certain people are being set up to win. It will be refreshing to see a new season that starts from scratch, although I’m sure they’ll be some new twists and curveballs in the upcoming season.
Check out the teaser below and share your thoughts below on what you’d like to see in Season 5 based on what you liked and disliked from past seasons.
Unfortunately, the teaser trailer is only available in the United States at this time due to copyright restrictions. Wah wah. :( We’ll a more “rest of the world-friendly” version once it comes available.

Any speculations on who’s gonna be in this one? Sharon Needles’ boyfriend? Detox? Willam (popping out of the box)?
I think the show peaked with season 3. Season was great for drama but the talent was not as good as season 3.

I really hope Willam will be included this season to try again.

Casting is the most crucial element of this show. When S4 premiered the initial feedback was that the cast was boogered and busted but then came the most drama filled season which ended up being hugely entertaining but my biggest complaint of the season was almost none of the girls could sew. One of the greatest parts of S3 were the runway challenges and seeing the incredible outfits the girls created to that weeks theme. I hope to see that return more in S5.

If I were to bet I’d say Alaska (Sharon’s BF) would get a ticket into the cast. Here’s hoping she doesn’t include a few too niche acts (Tammie Brown) or tragic big girls (Jiggly/Stacy Lane) just to kick off early. I’d love to see real talented queens all season and not any throwaways…
