RuPaul’s Drag Race Season 5 Guest Stars Announced

A few weeks ago, the ladies competing for a place in RuPaul’s Drag Race “herstory” were announced. Now, the identities of the guest judges are revealed. Side note: Should we really classify them as judges. Perhaps, panel accessories? By now, it’s evident their input has ABSOLUTELY no weight when it comes to Ru’s final decision.

With that said, there are a few guest judges I’m looking forward to. On top of that list is the one and only villain turned fan-favorite Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Camille Grammer. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think she might be the first one from the popular Bravo franchise to sit alongside RuPaul. Also on tap is the adorably cute Travis Wall of So You Think You Can Dance fame. As always, you have your round of usual suspects. Mike Ruiz and La Toya Jackson return for the umpteenth time. Check out the rest of the Season 5 guest judges below.

Others joining Michelle Visage and Santino Rice on the panel are Maria Conchita Alonso, Joan Van Ark, Chaz Bono, Downtown Julie Brown, Coco, Marg Helgenberger, Kristen Johnston, Leslie Jordan, Clinton Kelly, George Kotsiopolous, Juliette Lewis, Bob Mackie, Aubrey O’Day, The Pointer Sisters (Anita & Ruth), Paulina Porizkova and Jamie-Lynn Sigler. Additional guest appearances this season include: Gloria Allred, Mathu Andersen, Candis Cayne, Nadya Ginsburg, Deven Green, Wilmer Valderrama and Bruce Vilanch.

This season, the “fishiest” ladies ever assembled for RuPaul’s Drag Race will compete for a prize package that includes a sickening supply of Colorevolution cosmetics, a one-of-a-kind trip courtesy of, a headlining spot on Logo’s Drag Race Tour, featuring ABSOLUT® Vodka, cocktails perfected and a cash prize of $100,000. And don’t forget bragging rights to be declared “America’s Next Drag Superstar“. Catch all the action when the show kicks off with a 90-minute premiere on Monday, January 28, 2013.

Are you excited for Season 5? Which of the guest judges are you looking most forward to? Sound off below.

Wow, tbh… I’m kind of underwhelmed, but at least I know who a few of them are this time.

Aubrey O’Day – wow. I guess they needed a bitchy judge.

I guess I’m more excited for “the usual” suspects this year… Though the Pointer Sisters are a yes from me!

You’re so right though- all the guest judges get edited to look like they’re completely in agreement with the end decisions. Even if they don’t, Ru still decides- though I think Santino and Michelle hold some weight (but they probably judge by really similar standards).
