This is the one…the one everyone was waiting for. Time to talk to Shangela. Now contrary to MANY, I was not going to be rude to her. I wouldn’t EVER back down on what i ever wrote or said, but I in no way would be an asshole so if that’s what you were looking for it didn’t happen.
We talked about this season, how she got back on, the disaster in the first week as well as the drama throughout the season. We also touched on her new role on a pilot for NBC which came out coincidentally the day after she got kicked off. (I call a plant but whatevs.)

Great interview Tommy D. You managed to ‘be real’ with Shangela without being too rude. Kind of like how the british throw shade in such a polite way that you actually want to say thankyou. lol. Anyway, I’m a huge Shangela fan and I predict she will probably be one of the most successful stars to come out of Drag Race. Love her or hate her you can’t deny her star power. She’s the most talked about contestant this year, good or bad, and that’s what a star does, gets people to notice. Thanks again for the interview. Great job!

wasnt classy to turn up the volume at the end to shut her up lol but whatever ur blog.
anyways, shes like the angelina (jersey shore) of rupaul’s drag race–kept the show interesting. and also, she wasnt the best drag queen but she brought the most….charisma, uniqueness, nerve and….well, developin her talent and she already has the comedy down–no one wants to see raja, a tyra banks-wannabe strut up and down the runway-what was that during the jock episode? she ain’t no drag queen.
i get it when you say drag queens are a man in a dress…but he looks like a man-monkey thing trying to dress feminine…yawn.
didn’t like tyra from season 2, but at least agreed with the decision–cause she was fierce. but raja? it looked like he could do nothing wrong…the challenges, everything he did, judges just were applauding him for being raja…not for his performance or talent as a drag superstar.
but a show that didnt chose nina flowers as season 1′s winner–well, clearly its completely fiction. raja probably was like…um, rupaul, i’ll only do the show if i win…anyways, i just finished the jock episode and about to watch untucked…hopefully, itll be interesting–cant expect it will without shangela.
anyways, thanks for your writeups and love the interviews. the writeups are biased (as they should be since it is your blog) but at least the interviews are more or less objective.
