Ok let’s just start this post by the most hilarious news of the evening…Michelle Visage FLASHED the camera. It was absolutely amazing I couldn’t stop laughing. I’m also kind of in the same boat as her with those silicone breast plates, I don’t know exactly how I feel about them yet.

Last night’s episode was the first time that girls all had to record a single. I’m seeing a bit of a theme this season, they are sort of taking last seasons challenges and just putting a slight twist on them. Last season the queens had to sing life to Ladyboy in front of an audience, this season they had to record Superstar in their own genre and lip sync it to the audience. The funny thing is a few of them couldn’t lip sync their own song…doyyyyyyyy.

The episode started with the girls talking about last week’s NO elimination. Carmen was saying it’s because Ru probably thought both her and Yara were to fierce to let go, I think it’s so she could get another episode of it but to each their own ;)

The mini challenge this week was musical chairs in high heels. Please, we do that every Sunday at my house. The twist was that if the queen left standing could finish the lyric, she could bump someone else out. Carmen was left standing first and naturally she picked Shangela to get the boot first. After that she was left standing AGAIN and messed up. They kept playing and then it was Alexis, Yara, Raja and Manila was declared the winner. Yeay, I love Manila. She got to pick the order in which the queens chose their genre to record Superstar in. Now the way she did it I thought was probably one of the fairest ways all season. She just went down the line in the order they were eliminated in, so it was totally fair. Everyone was trying to start drama and read to much into it for absolutely no reason. Kudos to Manila for being LEGIT fair. The genre’s they got were as follows:

  • Manila – Disco
  • Raja – Punk
  • Yara – Pop
  • Alexis – Hip Hop
  • Carmen – Reggae
  • Shangela – Country

They all went into the recording studio with one of the CUTEST boys I have ever seen…oh what’s his name. The producer..Lucien? Yeah he was A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! (Add me to twitter if you’re reading this) In the studio, no one sounded good. It was kind of funny to watch but yeah none of these queens could really sing, but that’s the magic of the studio! After they were done, they each got an mp3 player with their track, and they all loved their song except for Carmen, who you could tell was struggling the most with this challenge. Bummer.

At the live lip sync performance of their song (yes I know that’s an oxymoron but whatever), they had to show up dressed in outfits for their respective genres. Manila looked AMAZING, like AMAZING AMAZING! I want her wings you have no idea, and the big hair and everything. She was perfect. Alexis looked…well her boobs were out and she was padded to withing an inch of her life…yeah. Yara was almost naked a la Britney Spears, probably not the BEST choice for a pop ballad but there you go. Carmen looked adorable, and Raja was flawless in her punk outfit. Then there was Shangela. Oh Shangela with her badly cut hem, and her Carrie Underwood country. Didn’t we have this EXACT problem with last year with Mystique? If they want you to dress COUNTRY, DRESS GODDAMN COUNTRY! Put on some goddamn denim, throw on some plaid, make it look cuteand voila! I don’t get why people are trying to change country into something it’s not. ESPECIALLY since her song was all twang twang twangy. Michelle totally called her on it and good for her. And fix your goddamn clothes, you look a FOOL!

Come judging, Raja was declared the winner (DUH!), and Carmen and Shangela were in the bottom two. God I was PRAYING Carmen would give Shangela the boot, but Shangela is a really strong performer. Without hesitation this week RuPaul eliminated Carmen (wahh!) and Shangela got to stay. Whatever.

Let me vent about the untucked, and shocker of all shockers about Shangela. She keeps going after Raja saying man in a tshirt, man in whatever. Um sweetheart punk looks like that, I don’t understand how you don’t see that? AND if we’re going to talk lookin like a man, we can ALL see your wig line. If that doesn’t SCREAM man in a dress, I don’t know what does. Just cool it. You’ll get yours soon. Either next week of the week after I can feel it.
