The one and only Roseanne Barr is making her debut on The Office in this final season of the hit NBC show and I can’t wait! I’ve been loving the ladies of comedy they’ve been bringing into the show over the past year or so – namely Kathy Bates and Catherine Tate.

NBC has said that Roseanne will play a talent agent named Carla Fern. In the episode, she agrees to help office manager Andy Bernard (Ed Helms) to realize his show business dream. This sounds like it’s going to be amazing.

I’m wondering if this is NBC’s way of doing Roseanne a favor, since they didn’t pick up her highly anticipated series, Downwardly Mobile which would have brought her and former co-star back together on primetime television.

Such a mistake to not move forward with that show in my opinion. The Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award-winning actress is certainly capable of making a television show a hit – her self titled sitcom aired from 1988 to 1997 and I know it was a favorite in our household.

Roseanne’s guest star appearance began filming today. The 60-year old funny lady took a break from her stand-up comedy routine at the Tropicana Laugh Factory in Las Vegas for the role. Her Vegas show dates run from January to the end of March. As you probably already know, Roseanne lives on the Big Island in Hawaii on a Macadamia Nut farm.
