Jay-Z’s new protegé Rita Ora first made her way onto my iPod when I introduced her as a Rising Artist Spotlight back in February. Her debut single “How We Do (Party)” was an instant staple for my weekend playlist. Now, Rita is ready to have everyone sing along in her new music video for the single.
Shot in Los Angeles and directed by Marc Klasfeld, the video celebrates and captures the essence of youth and the freedom of partying. The undeniable hit features Rita and her fellow partiers singing, “We’re tearing up the town, ’cause that’s just how we do” over production duo The Runners’ irresistible guitar and drums.
Due to the success of the single Roc Nation has teamed up with Clear Channel for a two-week-long on-air/online Artist Integration campaign beginning April 18. Over 100 of the Clear Channels’ contemporary hit stations will play the single as well as run artist profiles to help drive listeners to buy the single on iTunes. And, one lucky listener will have the chance to fly to London to watching Rita open for Coldplay. They will get to ride with Rita to the show and hang backstage prior to her performance. If you want to know what it may be like backstage, check out her newest video clip below.
