Last time Rihanna graced the cover of a Vogue magazine (US publication), she was a redhead. This time, the “S&M” singer bleached her locks out and gone the blond bombshell route. Her new look can be seen on the November 2011 cover of British Vogue photographed by Alasdair McLellan. It will mark the first time the Bajan native ends up on the cover of the British publication.
In the issue, Rihanna opens up about her sexy public persona and being a role model. Certainly timely, considering her recent run-in with a pious angry farmer while shooting her latest music video.
“See, people — especially white people — they want me to be a role model just because of the life I lead. The things I say in my songs, they expect it of me and being a role model became more of my job than I wanted it to be. But no, I just want to make music. That’s it. Look, God doesn’t give any more than you can handle. I had to get through a lot of ups and downs – big downs – and a lot of trial and error to get where I am now.”
You would think Rihanna would want some rest and relaxation after her successful “Loud” album. Given that she’s still touring in support of her last album, it’s surprising the singer is already prepping the release of her upcoming sixth studio album out on November 21. Not that I’m complaining since I’m always up for a new RiRi jam. Check out more pics from the photo shoot below.

it’s pretty easy to go from red to blonde when you’re wearing a wig. even to the untrained eye, its pretty obvi. she should have at least gone with a front lace to make it look more natural, or better yet weave, but i digress.
