Ricky Martin and his partner Carlos González recently posed for Vanity Fair Spain with the twins for their upcoming April issue. This is the first time the two have officially posed with the twins. In the article, Rick talks about his decision to be open and honest with his twins as they grow up, his Spanish citizenship, and the woman who carried his twin boys.

When it comes to becoming a citizen of Spain to marry his partner Carlos, the mag asked how he felt the chance that same-sex unions could be repealed as it is currently being challenged before the Constitutional Court. Ricky responds, “if they touch” that legislation, he said, “now, as a Spanish citizen, I would stand up and unite with my community.”

And as for the birth mother of the twins? Vanity Fair asks him about his “womb for rent” – a statement to which he quickly rejects. “I saw the photo and I said to myself: Who is this woman, so angelic, so transparent? I did not rent a womb. The fundamental conservatives use that expression. They loaned me an abdomen. I didn’t pay for it,” the singer confesses, adding that “I would give my life for the woman who helped me bring my sons into the world.” See their photos below.
