On a recent episode of Ricki Lake, it was all about “Gay People Living Straight Lives” and one of the guests was Josh Weed, whom I had previously posted about when he did an interview with Nightline. All of the exposure started a while back when he did a blog post titled, ““Gay, Mormon, And Married.”
Weed is an openly gay man, yet he’s been married to a woman for several years and says he’ll always remain loyal and faithful. Ricki asks him about the sacrifice he’s made and how he’s able to be sexually intimate with his wife when he’s not attracted to women.
The woman’s reaction? in the audience at 1:13 is absolutely hilarious.

I can’t even with this. Like honestly. How shamed must you have been in your lifetime to force yourself into a marriage with a woman when you are attracted to men. Like, come on!

Don’t bash him. You are no better than the people saying homosexuality is a sin.
Clearly people thought that if you are a man so you have to be with a women. WRONG. Now you/people are saying just because you’re gay you have to be with a man? WRONG ASWELL.
When someone classifies themselves, don’t put them into a category and tell them what is meant to be done and what not is.
Clearly you are ignorant just like the people that say homosexuality is a abnormal and that a man should be with a women and vice versa.

I kinda feel worse for her than for him, just because I can’t imagine being happy knowing that the person I would be with for the rest of my life, the one person who is supposed to love me the most, isn’t actually attracted to me. I mean, they seem to have a system, but I couldn’t imagine living like that.

I wouldn’t bash him just for being in a straight marriage, but I definitely bash him for publicizing it because he thinks he’s proving a point to the world with his bullshit. It’s a hoax, and he doesn’t deserve any positive attention for publicizing his story.

Who cares? They claim it works for them. They are getting attention because people consider it freakish. This type of relationship would work for very few people. They are an anomaly.
