Richard Madden Talks James Bond Rumors With British GQ

I’m all about Richard Madden these days and seriously considering adding him to my laminated list 😉 It’s almost criminal that he’s as fine as he is. And don’t even get me started on that Scottish accent.

The Bodyguard star graces the January/February issue of British GQ and looking fine as hell. For the accompanying interview, the 32-year-old actor addresses those James Bond rumors. No offense to Idris Elba or Tom Hiddleston, but fingers crossed it’s Madden that takes the 007 mantle when Daniel Craig leaves.

Check out a few quotes from the interview below, along with photos snapped by Matthew Brookes. The publication also made Madden relive that infamous Red Wedding from Game of Thrones. If you’re a fan of the HBO fantasy series, definitely check that out.

On Rumors That He’s The Next James Bond

“This is what happens with all these shows, like Tom Hiddleston in The Night Manager. Then there’s the next one. I’m the next one. Everyone just loves the rumour mill on that topic. I’m just the current one. There’ll be a different one next week…All of which is pretty hard to argue with. But still, I say; nice to be mentioned all the same…I’m more than flattered to be mentioned, for people to consider putting me in that role. I’m very flattered and thankful. It’s a really brilliant thing to be in.”

On If He’d Accept The James Bond Role

“I don’t want to curse anything by saying anything. I think that’s the curse of that. If you talk about it, you’ll curse it.”

On Last Day On The Game Of Thrones Set

“I sobbed and sobbed on that Friday. I was hysterical actually. I was so exhausted. I cried all the way home.”
