The Real Housewives Of Vancouver are back, with the first episode of Season 2 airing last night. After a brief recap of all the drama from last season, we get to see the new opening to the show with all of the new taglines for the housewives. They are as follows:
From there we delve right into the first episode. It begins at Ronnie’s place where she and her boys discuss a barbecue they are planning to honor all of the people that helped save Ronnie’s daughter, Remington’s life. Ronnie says she stopped drinking four months ago so to get more clarity in her life. That’s a big change this season already!
From there we move to various scenes that allow us to see how these ladies begin to get to know each other. Jody and Mia are at home and after discussing Mia’s new nose, the Claman’s talk about a friend of Mia’s named Amanda who Mia wants Jody to meet with. She’s a single mom and an entrepreneur, so Jody obliges. Meanwhile, Mary goes to an art gallery to meet with a sexy art dealer named Ioulia. Lastly, Ronnie takes her kids to a ranch to ride horses and a woman (originally from Texas) named Robin befriends her and the two bond over stories of their children.
When Amanda meets with Jody, Amanda’s a little late and a little nervous when talking about her business idea. She really connects with Jody when she opens up about her struggle with alcoholism because Jody says Ronnie has the same problem. With that, Jody invites her to Ronnie’s party. When Amanda was telling us about herself, my favorite line was “I’m a girl… I wanna look starving.” This domestically disabled housewife is actually quite funny so far. Also quite funny is Mary’s housekeeper who can barely speak any English.
On the drive to Ronnie’s, Mary rides with Ioulia and warns her about Jody, while Jody rides with Amanda and warns her about Mary. There’s tension when Mary and Jody see each other again and when Mary says hi to Jody’s daughter Hanna, Jody says in confessional that her daughter must have been thinking, “Who the f*ck are you and what’s in your face!” Yikes. Another tense moment during the barbecue was when Jody, Amanda, and Robin were talking about alcoholism when Robin and Amanda disagree on alcoholism being a disease.
The episode ends on a positive note after Mary sings to Remy after she requested her to. Ronnie thinks everyone is going to get along this year. CUT TO… a preview for next week and the trailer for the season and these ladies do nothing but fight. This season looks way more intense than last year because there is already this irreparable rivalry between Mary and Jody from the get-go and these new ladies are feisty.

So far, I’m liking the Texan the most. Me and her can hang anytime.

Haha – yeah, totally agree. I loved some of Amanda’s jokes, but she’s Team Jody so I can’t like her that much. Jody was ruthless and it’s only episode 1!
