The Real Housewives of New York return tonight for its seventh season. It marks the much-heralded return of Skinnygirl mogul Bethenny Frankel. It’ll be interesting if the once former fan favorite can reclaim her crown.
This season we also meet a new Housewife named Dorinda Medley. It’s the first time in the entire franchise that we have eight regular cast members. At first glance, it seems too much but I’ll reserve full judgement.
Beside the reunions, the next best part of any Real Housewives season is the premiere. Why you ask? It’s all about the taglines. Crafting a memorable one is rather tricky. Ideally, it should encompass your journey for the upcoming season and be sassy as well.
Last year, the ladies of RHONY were criticized for their taglines. Do they do a better job this year? In my opinion, definitely yes. Check them all out below and see which one ranks as my favorite and least favorite.
RHONY Season 7 Taglines Ranked
8. Heather Thomson
“I’m stronger than anything in my way. Holla!”
7. Kristen Taekman
“Pretty is smarter than you think.”
6. Carole Radziwill
“All play and no work makes me a happy girl.”
5. Dorinda Medley
“I give Uptown a whole new attitude.”
4. Luann de Lesseps
“One should know…never count out the Countess.”
3. Bethenny Frankel
“I’m not a housewife, but I am real.”
2. Ramona Singer
“I know I’m a piece of work, but now I’m a work in progress.”
1. Sonja Morgan
“My yacht may have sailed, but my ship is coming in.”
My girl Sonja has once again done it. Her “I have a taste for luxury, and luxury has a taste for me.” is one of my all-time favorites. Ramona and Bethenny also deliver great ones as well.
On the flip side, it’s nauseating that Heather can’t let ‘holla’ go. It was fun the first year but I’m so over it. Also, you’d think Kristen would avoid the word ‘pretty’ considering she received so much flack last season for her seemingly vapid tagline.
Are you going to watch the premiere tonight? Which tagline do you like the best? Weigh in below.
