My favorite part of any Real Housewives season is the reunion show. After reliving all the drama and watching all the “private” confessionals, the ladies are ready to battle and call each other out for all the trash-talking done behind the backs. When I heard that Adrienne Maloof skipped out on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 3 reunion taping, I was livid.
Maloof knew fully well that she would be the target and have to defend her actions, respond to all the lies and talk about her divorce. Speaking of the latter, she claimed a contract signed with her ex-husband, Paul Nassif, prevented her from showing up. Funny enough, Nassif taped a segment for the reunion and talked about the divorce. Another piece of BS from Miss Adrienne.
“She is also not allowed to talk about her divorce; there is a gag order in place, and she was concerned she is going to be pushed into a corner and repeatedly asked about it, and that will compromise the divorce agreement. It is too dangerous and the repercussions too severe for her to put herself in that situation.” – Maloof source
Her playing hooky just proved how much of a coward she is. Teresa Giudice (RHONJ), Danielle Staub (RHONJ), NeNe Lekes (RHOA), Michaele Salahi (RHODC) and Jill Zarin (RHONJ) all attended their respective reunions despite knowing they were going to be attacked. After Maloof’s stunt, I have more respect for all those ladies. If you dish it, be prepared to take it. Words I live by.
The reunion shows bring in huge ratings for Bravo. Naturally, Andy Cohen was pissed that she breached her contract. Like fans, he’s been chomping at the bits to question her all season long. I was wondering how the Bravo exec was going to address it. Thankfully, the network gave a sneak peek and boy, does Cohen take her to task. I love him even more for being a bit snippy. After accommodating her all season long, she pulls a stunt like this. Check out his words below, along with why she thinks his actions are unprofessional.
RHOBH Season 3 Reunion Preview
If you aren’t in the United States and can’t view the video, here’s a transcript of Cohen’s speech.
“Well, today we are missing one of the Housewives that has been with us since the beginning. Adrienne Maloof has decided not to participate today. This Season was hard on Adrienne, as you all know, a secret about her family was revealed by Brandi, and from that moment on Adrienne refused to speak directly about it. We know that frustrated you in the audience- it frustrated all of us to. If you read the tabloids you might have theories on what the secret is, but Adrienne won’t be here to tell her side of the story. Not only is she absent tonight, but she won’t be on the show next Season. Adrienne Maloof’s final act as a Housewife is not showing up tonight.” – Andy Cohen
Radar Online (Adrienne’s go-to tabloid) claims a source told them the following:
“Adrienne isn’t shocked by Andy’s behavior but she is disappointed by his comments. She knew she would have been thrown to the wolves though if she had gone to the taping, and quite frankly she is through with dealing with all the non stop drama and verbal assaults. Brandi and Lisa were both telling producers before the taping that they were looking forward to pouncing on Adrienne. She heard about it and decided there was no way she was going to let those b****es come after her like that.”
Ummm, how was Andy supposed to address it? The beyotch ditched out and disappointed all the show’s viewers. Not only is it a slap in the face to Bravo but to her “supposed” fans as well. In the end, I’m glad that she’s gone. She truly was one unhappy person. It’s true what they say… money can’t buy you happiness. Chick was beyond loaded.
Do you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills? Bummed that Adrienne Maloof won’t have to answer for all her antics? Camille Grammer and Marisa Zanuck were also not present for the reunion, though that was due to Bravo not inviting them. Do you think those two ladies should’ve attended? Sound off below.
