One of my favorite shows premiered its second season on Sunday night and I’m sure you wouldn’t be surprised to learn that I’m referring to none other than ABC’s ‘Revenge‘. To tell you the truth, I was also extremely excited about the premiere of Season 2 of ‘Once Upon A Time‘ last night as well in addition to the series premiere of ‘666 Park Avenue.” Sundays are now all about the church of ABC television!
A lot happened in the season 2 premiere of Revenge. Some time has passed since the plane crash and Victoria’s “death”. Emily went back to her revenge-y training, Jack has become depressed about his situation, Charlotte is back from rehab, and Amanda Clarke is about to pop. Emily is determined to find her mother and Nolan is still there to help her along the way. Some VERY interesting things happened in this episode and we also got our first look at Emily’s mother (played by Jennifer Jason Leigh) in some of the flashbacks.
Rather than spend time recapping the play by play, I thought it would be fun to highlight some of the best lines from last night. All of those Revenge-y lines we’ve missed all summer. Seriously, I burtst with excitement when each of the lines below were delivered. Hope you enjoy!
Satoshi Takeda: “You would throw away your training on the unsupported assumption that your mother remains alive?”
Emily Thorne: “Dead or alive, I’m going to find out what happened to her and when I do, God help the people that kept me from her. And that includes you.”
Emily Thorne: “My priorities have shifted. Wanna go for a drive?”
Nolan Ross: “Sounds vaguley revenge-y. Where to?”
Nolan Ross: “Then who?”
Emily Thorn: “Who else. Victoria.”
Nolan Ross: “Great… Seance anyone?”
Emily Thorne: “Yeah, but the question is what did she do with my mother. Abduct her…or worse?”
Nolan Ross: “And risk getting her manicured talons dirty? Not her style.”
Amanda Clarke: “And don’t forget, if he learns the truth about me, everyone learns the truth about you.”
Jack Porter: [Enters] “Emily?”
Emily Thorne: “Hi Jack. It’s good to see you.”
Jack Porter: “You too. Everything okay? What’s wrong?”
Emily Thorne: “Amanda, should you tell Jack or should I?”
Amanda Clarke: “Go for it.”
Emily Thorne: “Amanda just asked me to be the baby’s godmother.”
Nolan Ross: [Walking with Emily and looking at the memoriam picture of Victoria Grayson] “You think she’s somewhere looking up at us?”
Nolan Ross: “You talked to her? [Emily nodds] Then you know where she is?”
Emily Thorne: “Yeah.”
Nolan Ross: “What are you gonna do?”
Emily Thorne: “Play a hunch. I need to get a camera in there. Actually, I was hoping you could use this.” [Hands him a clam shell]
Nolan Ross: “Yeah, ‘clam-cam’… I like it.”

Not to be a jerk or anything, but next time when you put something spoilerish in quotes and bold print, can it not be in the first part of the article… any spoilers should be after the jump and this one was so obvious as I was scrolling. >_< It kinda ruined the fun for me.

I didn’t think the article really spoiled anything an avid viewer could independently predict after last season’s finale =P. The second season’s premier was stellar. “666″ was disappointing though, I was excited for the premise and Vanessa Williams…but the pilot was executed so generically that it comes off as borrowing so much from other things. Definitely got a “Devil’s Advocate” vibe, except Al Pacino portrayed a much better demonic (Satan) character.
