OH SNAP!!! Reese Witherspoon came out to play at last night’s MTV Movie Awards. The 35-year-old was on hand to accept MTV’s Generation Award. It’s the network’s version of a lifetime achievement award. Let’s face it, 35 is practically ancient in their terms. Given that Witherspoon was being honored for her body of work, it was only fitting she share some of her wisdom. And boy did she share.

After playfully correcting her “Water for Elephants” co-star Robert Pattinson with a punchline “You’re the best motherf—er in Hollywood.“, Witherspoon gave advice to Hollywood’s young starlets. Ever the Southern lady, she let it be known that she succeeded in Tinseltown based on her talent and nothing else. “It’s also possible to make it in Hollywood without a reality show,” she exclaimed. Obviously that was a dig at the Kim Kardashians of the world. Way to go, Reese. About time someone said something. Reese wasn’t done yet.

In a comment clearly aimed at Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively, she doled out the following sage words. “If you take naked pictures of yourself with your cell phone, you hide your face.” Lively has been the center of a nude picture controversy. Topless iPhone photos of her surfaced online. The more Blake and her people claimed they were fakes, the more photos leaked.

Some critics have wondered if the photos were released by her people on purpose to increase her profile. As Reese stated in her acceptance speech, there was a time when people were ashamed of sex tapes and topless pics. Now people wear it like a badge of honor. I like Blake a lot, and hope she didn’t release them purposely just to gain media attention. She’s better than that. I wonder what her rumored new boyfriend Leonardo Dicaprio thinks of them.

UPDATE

From what I hear, Reese said it to support her friend Jennifer Garner. Blake’s leaked topless pics showed fake tattoos which she had when filming “The Town”. The director of that film was Garner’s husband, Ben Affleck. While on set, rumors surfaced that the two were getting cozy. Is Reese being a good friend or a high school mean girl? Personally, good for her for standing by her BFF. If Blake was guilty of messing around, then she deserves it. I like Blake, but she has to realize, how you get them is how you lose them. Wise words by Wendy Williams.
