After months of speculation regarding potential cast members, Bravo finally announced the official cast of “The Real Housewives of D.C.“. The latest spin-off of the popular franchise will premiere on the cable network on August 5th at 9pm. Not surprisingly the cast includes the infamous White House party crashers, The Salahis. Rounding out the remainder of the cast are a socialite, realtor, stylish artist agent and a Brit who reportedly made out with Prince Harry. Scandalous, but can they out-do the ladies of NYC or ATL?

MICHAELE SALAHI, 44 years old

When “Partygate 2009” broke out, Bravo denied anything to do with Michaele and Tareq Salahi. The notorious duo were well-known in the DC socialite-politcal scene as fame-attention seeking whores prior to making international headlines. Til this day, the Salahis insist they were invited and never crashed the 2009 White House Dinner. Over the years, the Salahis have been involved in other scandals including allegedly running a bogus charity, numerous fights with their neighbors, a legal battle for control of the family winery, and allegedly failing to pay bills for the America’s Polo Cup. Before marrying Tareq, Michaele worked at Nordstroms and was a former Washington Redskins cheerleader. This duo sound like trainwrecks. LOVE IT.

STACIE TURNER, 42 years old

She’s not only the youngest “wife” of the bunch, but she’s also the sole African-American to join the cast. Kudos to Bravo for including a woman with color. Now let’s bring on some sassy Latina and Asian women to the mix. The Howard and Harvard graduate worked at BET before switching to real estate. She’s a married mom of two and heads a charity that helps teenage girls in foster care. Her family resides in a mansion which they converted from a church.

LYNDA ERKILETIAN, 52 years old

The oldest lady of the bunch, Lynda owns an artist agency called T.H.E. that represents 500 models and stylists in the D.C. area. The divorced mother of four, cites shooting clay pigeons, astrology, riding ATVS among her favorite past times. She was named to the Washington’s 2009 best-dressed list due to her stylish flair. Currently single, this woman-about-town is looking find a new love.

MARY AMONS, 44 years old

Like Erkiletian, Mary Amons was also named one of Washington’s 2009 best dressed. The mother of five is a Washingtonian native and is a daughter of a telecom exec. It is rumored that her family vacationed with The Kennedys. As with many of “The Real Housewives…” cast, Amons founded a charity called Labels of Love which conducts a semiannual shopping-for-charity event. Mary was once featured with her oldest daughter Lolly (23) for a segment for Marie Claire and “Today” about mothers and daughters looking the same age.

CATHERINE ASHLEY OMMANNEY, 40-ish years old

This British-born interior designer recently announced her separation from her award-winning Newsweek photographer husband. As Countess de Lesseps knows from RHONY, filming can be detrimental and stressful for a marriage. Out of all the women, she is the least known though it isn’t from a lack of effort. In 2006, she told British tabloids that she made out with a much younger Prince Harry after a night of partying. WTG Cougar. She has two daughters from a previous marriage and is a recent transplant to DC. It’ll be interesting to see how this Brit handles the Bravo cameras 24/7.

As much as I am not a fan of rewarding the Salahis for their antics to ensure they were cast for the show, it’ll be very interesting to see if Bravo addresses the party crash and the aftermath of their actions. Will this latest spinoff be another winner or you tired of watching middle-aged women bicker and fight like teenage girls?
