I was all settled in for a quiet evening watching American Idol, Cupid and Project Runway with Brian, when I heard that the Pussycat Dolls might be making an appearance at Celebrities. Immediately, I told Brian I was going to go and wanted him to come as well but unfortunately he had to work at 8:00 AM. Tommy, Patrick and myself then decided to venture out for $3 highballs @ Celebrities. Midnight came and went, and all hopes that the PCD were coming were beginning to fade. Just as we were going to call it a night, the gorgeous redhead Jessica Sutta sauntered from the back entrance straight to the VIP area. I’m not just saying this, but prior to going out tonight, I had hoped that either Kimberly Wyatt or Jessica Sutta would make an appearance… I got lucky!
The bouncer at the VIP wasn’t letting anyone go through to chat with her. I tried every move I had in my arsenal but nothing was working. While we were waiting on the stairs for a photo opportunity with Jessica, an old friend from the past- Clarence- came up to me. We chatted for a bit and I asked him to give Jessica my card. He tried, but couldn’t bring himself to do it, which I totally respect. Then, out of the blue, Jessica walked right passed me. It was my one shot to ask her for a pic. She politely turned me down saying that she couldn’t take a picture- which again, I fully understand. Apparently, according to Patrick, I then did my sad puppy dog face. I told her that we absolutely love her, and for anyone who knows me, this isn’t a lie. I gave her my homorazzi.com card and she said- and I quote- “I LOVE THE BOYS!” She then motioned the bouncer to let me through past the rope and we got to chatting for a bit. She then granted my request to pose for a picture so I gave my camera to Clarence to take it. The one he took is the uber close up you see below. After Clarence’s failed attempt to take a clear picture, I decided to take matters into my own hands and took our picture with my SLR on my own. I guess all the planets were all aligned cuz I got the perfect shot on the first try. After Jessica okay-ed the pic, she mentioned to me about a non-profit organization she was working on that would help out “the boys” in the Los Angeles area- way to go Jessica! She then mentioned that she should do something in Vancity as well. I told her that I would do anything I could do to help her out in her cause; here is my official open letter to Jessica.

“Dear Jessica, I had an amazing time chatting with you tonight and hopefully you’ll email me to talk about how I can aid you in your non-profit organization. Not only would it be an honour, but also a great privilege to do so. If you don’t have time to chat while you’re in town. I will also be in Cali for a week and attending your April 20th show in Anaheim. xoxo Donovan”
Looking forward to your show tomorrow night, and for what the future brings. Thanks again for taking the time to chat with me Jessica. It was definitely a night I won’t soon forget.
