Simon Cowell’s New Boy Band PRETTYMUCH Releases Debut Single ‘Would You Mind’

With all the One Direction guys pursuing solo careers, and successfully I might add, Simon Cowell is going through boy band withdrawal. He’s hoping his new act can fill the void in the marketplace and more importantly, his pockets.

PRETTYMUCH consists of Austin Porter (19), Brandon Arreaga (17), Edwin Honoret (18), Nick Mara (19) and Zion Kuwonu (18). All are American with exception to Kuwonu who hails from Ottawa, Canada. After performing solid covers on their Instagram account, the quintet has released their proper debut single and it’s not bad.

Would You Mind” was written by Savan Kotecha, whose previous credits include penning tracks for Ariana Grande, The Weeknd and One Direction. PRETTYMUCH previously stated they love ’90s R&B and this single certainly proves it. From its a cappella intro to its new jack throwback beat, it sounds vintage Boyz II Men circa “Motownphilly” era.

Check out “Would You Mind” below. I also included a video of the boys fooling around, showing off their dance moves. Unlike 1D, these boys can all bust a move.
