Evan Peters & Kate Mara Make Their Debut In Ryan Murphy’s ‘Pose’

Let the ball begin!!! Damn, this looks so good. Ryan Murphy might have another winner on his hands.

Set in 1986, Pose examines the juxtaposition of several segments of life and society in New York City: the emergence of the luxury Trump-era universe, the downtown social and literary scene and the ball culture world.

The series made headlines and history even before a single scene was shot. Producers assembled the largest transgender cast of series regulars ever– Hailie Sahar, Indya Moore, Dominique Jackson, Angelica Ross, and M.J. Rodriguez.

The period drama also stars Dawson’s Creek alum James Van Der Beek, House of Card’s Kate Mara, Murphy mainstay Evan Peters, Kinky Boots star Billy Porter, Ryan Jamaal Swain and Dyllon Burnside.

The first teaser showcased mostly the ball culture world. This latest promo includes more of that but also gives us the first look at Evan Peters and Kate Mara’s characters. They play a New Jersey couple who get drawn into the wild side of the Big Apple. Peters finds himself falling in love with a transgender woman named Angel (Indya Moore).

Pose premieres Sunday, June 3 on FX. Watch the trailer below which also introduces us to an aspiring ballet dancer named Damon (Ryan Jamaal Swain) who eventually joins the vibrant ball culture world.
