With a song title like “Jungle,” I envisioned Mr. Worldwide heading to a lush tropical forest to film his latest music video. Alas, not. Sure, it starts off with a bunch of guys in a jungle, but for all his parts, Pitbull decides to party it up on a yacht with a bunch of bikini-clad women. Since “Jungle” is lifted off his new greatest hits album, the 36-year-old rapper might as well serve up signature Pitbull.
“Jungle” was produced by The Stereotypes and features Spanish pop singer Abraham Mateo and rapper E-40. Never heard of the latter two artists prior to this but their parts impressed me. Mateo’s falsetto and E-40’s rap delivery are pretty slammin’. The uptempo track is one of two original songs, along with 11 of his biggest smashes featured on Greatest Hits out December 1.
Check out his visual for “Jungle” below. While I do enjoy Pitbull, this video is a tad lazy. The feel-good bop deserved better.
