All is not right in the city of Pawnee. There is breaking news that two veteran actors of the NBC sitcom are leaving in the middle of Season 6. This won’t be the first time a main castmember has exited Parks and Recreation. Paul Schneider left in the middle of Season 2, shortly after Adam Scott joined the cast.
While the show has never been a huge ratings winner, it is a critical darling and has served as a launching pad for its cast. Nick Offerman, Aziz Ansari, Rashida Jones and Chris Pratt have inked deals for films, book deals, comedy tours and more as a result of their work on the show. The Amy Poehler show was the only comedy to get a renewal from NBC last season. Find out which two actors are leaving below.
Say it isn’t so. Rashida Jones and Rob Lowe who play on-again, off-again couple Ann Perkins and Chris Traeger will sign off on the 13th episode of Parks and Recreation’s upcoming season. Timed perfectly for February sweeps. The show will most likely have the characters riding off into the sunset together to start a family. No reason has been given for the duo’s departure, but I’m sure it’s amicable. The show is currently filming its one-hour season premiere set in London which will air on NBC on September 26.
Are you bummed by this casting development? Will you stop watching Parks & Recreation? Do you think the show should just call it quits at the end of the season? Sound off below.
