All good things must come to an end. Producer Jason Blum confirmed that the Paranormal Activity franchise will end with the fifth film, Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. He promises every secret will be revealed.
“It’s coming to an end. This is it, the finale. We’re saying it before the movie opens. We’re not going to grind this horror franchise into the ground,” Producer Jason Blum told USA Today. “This will keep Paranormal Activity as part of this culture and this particular time in a really fantastic way… All the questions that everyone has asked from the past Paranormal Activity films: What does Toby look like? What’s the backstory to the families? These questions have been teased out. Now they will be answered.”
Gotta give credit to them for not beating a dead horse. However, as we all know with many popular horror franchises, it’s never truly the end. I’m sure after a little break, another Paranormal Activity will head our way.
Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension will open in the US on October 23, 2015 and in the UK one week later. The first full-length trailer hits online tomorrow, but in the meantime, check out the creepy teaser below.
