Only two more months until Sami Raimi’s highly-anticipated Oz The Great and Powerful hits theaters. I really hope the Wizard of Oz prequel isn’t a huge letdown. With Raimi behind the camera and James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams and Rachel Weisz in front, it has all the ingredients for a classic in the making. The above teaser poster was released a few weeks ago and left many fans wondering if it was Mila Kunis or Rachel Weisz. The latter recently revealed in an interview that she was the one playing the evil witch.
“It was a fun idea to be playing someone who is really, really bad. I can’t think of any roles that I’ve had like that before… She’s really, really a bad person and she revels in being bad. It’s a Disney film, so I shouldn’t say she is ‘turned on’ by evil, but that’s what it is like… She enjoys it, like the meaner she is the more pleasure she gets. – Rachel Weisz
Oz The Great And Powerful hits theaters on March 8 in 3D, 2D and IMAX 3D formats. It imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s iconic characters. Franco who plays a small-time circus magician is transported to Oz and is drawn into a battle between the three witches played by Williams, Kunis and Weisz. Putting his ingenuity and illusion skills to use, he transforms into the great and powerful Oz. Check out a batch of new images below which includes a first look at Munchkin Land.

Are you looking forward to Oz The Great and Powerful? Do you think it will live up to The Wizard of Oz or Wicked for that matter? Which witch do you think will end up stealing the show, Mila, Michelle or Rachel? Sound off below.
