Looks like Netflix is losing another one of its flagship series. In addition to House Of Cards ending, Orange Is The New Black is also bidding adieu. The dramedy will end in 2019 with its seventh season.
“After seven seasons, it’s time to be released from prison. I will miss all the badass ladies of Litchfield and the incredible crew we’ve worked with. My heart is orange but fade to black,” said creator Jenji Kohan.
Orange Is The New Black received widespread acclaim since its 2013 premiere. It’s earned multiple Emmy Nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series in 2014 and, due to a rule change, Outstanding Drama Series in 2015. It’s become the network’s most-watched original series. The series has also received six Golden Globe Award nominations, six Writers Guild of America Award nominations, a Producers Guild of America Award, an American Film Institute award, and a Peabody Award.
