Oh no she didn’t! Amazing! Oprah Winfrey is reuniting the cast of “The Sound of Music” on her show on Friday, Oct. 29. This is epic! The reunion will include: Julie Andrews, Christopher Plummer, Charmian Carr (Liesl), Nicolas Hammond (Friedrich), Heather Menzies-Urich (Louisa), Duane Chase (Kurt), Angela Cartwright (Brigitta), Debbie Turner (Marta) and Kym Karath (Gretl). Eleanor Parker (The Baroness) and Daniel Truhitte (Rolfe) apparently didn’t get an invite. This movie was a big part of my childhood. I must have seen it dozens of times on television growing up and we also used to watch it every year around Christmas time at the private school I went to.

They will reminisce about old time and discuss each other experiences on the show and what they’ve been doing since. What else? The real-life Von Trapp kids will be playing a special tribute to the cast of the legendary movie.

So why now? Well for the first time since 1973, “The Sound of Music” will be going back into theaters to celebrate it’s 45th anniversary. Holy moly! The film will be broadcast in over 500 movie theaters for two nights only: Tuesday, Oct. 19 and Tuesday, Oct. 26 at 6:30 p.m. local time. So, remember those dates and remember to PVR/TeVo Oprah!
