There’s no denying “Once Upon A Time” was one of the breakout hits from last season. Sure, it was uneven at points and some episodes were mediocre at best, but the season finale was epic. I literally was on the edge of my seat with every shocking revelation, especially the game-changing cliffhanger. Season 2 should be a wild ride now that the residents of Storybrook know about their fairy tale past lives. Hopefully the freshman show doesn’t suffer the dread sophomore slump.

Producers of OUAT have decided to promote a couple of characters from the first season. Recurring star Meghan Ory who played Little Red Riding Hood has already been upgraded to series regular. Now comes word that a guest star who appeared in a couple of episodes has also received a promotion. Have any guesses on who? Is it Maleficent played by the brilliant Kristin Bauer van Straten (True Blood) or maybe it’s sexy Sebastian Stan (Gossip Girl) whose Mad Hatter brought magic to Storybook? Find out who below.

Not surprisingly, it’s Emilie de Ravin who played Belle. Given that her character is integral to Rumplestiltskin, I’m not shocked she’ll appear as a series regular. Plus, she’s previously worked with the show’s producers on ABC’s “Lost“. Obviously, she has a good working rapport with them.

Are you excited to see Belle on a regular basis? Were you hoping it would be some other fairy tale character? If so, whom? Are you chomping at the bit to catch the show’s second season premiere? Sound off below.
