There have been so many good movies to see this month, although I haven’t made the time to see any of them. That being said, November holds several movies I want to see as well and there are some big ones on the agenda as well.
Given that October is the month of Halloween, most of the main scary movies are out of the way so none of the films on my list are going to make me scream. There are two highly anticipated films that I’m sure are going to dominate the box office, while there are three other lesser known or limited release films that I just want to highlight as well so you know they’re out there.
Find out what five movies are on my list for November below. What movies have you seen in October and which do you recommend? Is there anything in November that you’re looking forward to seeing that I did not include on my list of five? Share your thoughts and recommendations below.
‘Vamps’ – November 2
Alicia Silverstone and Krysten Ritter star as Goody and Stacy, two besties that are addicted to the night life, clubbing, hooking up and always looking for the next thrill. All of this while they are keeping one big secret… they happen to be modern-day vampires. The duo realize they still have a lot to learn about love when Stacy unexpectedly falls for the son of a vampire hunter, while Goody runs into the man of her dreams from decades earlier. This movie (which is a limited release) looks hilarious.
‘Skyfall’ – November 8
With the release of Adele’s epic new song for the movie, the anticipation for Skyfall has picked up. In this film, “Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 comes under attack, 007 must track down and destroy the threat, no matter how personal the cost.” As usual, the visual effects and stunts look incredible, as does Daniel Craig’s body. There’s even a gun that only works with Bond’s palm prints. “Less of a random killing machine and more of a personal statement”. As with all Bond movies, expect sex, stunts, and spies to the max. Can’t wait for this one!
‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ – November 15
It’s the fifth and final instalment of the film, and then it can finally be put to rest. After her birth of Renesmee, the Cullens gather other vampire clans in order to protect the child from a false allegation that puts the family in front of the Volturi. It’s one of those, “It all comes down to this” as they all face off in one big showdown.
‘Red Dawn’ – November 21
A movie remake starring Josh Hutcherson & Chris Hemsworth? Yes please! In this film, a group of young patriots find themselves fighting against a foreign invasion. Taking inspiration from their high school mascot, they call themselves the Wolverines, and band together to protect one another, liberate their town from its captors, and take back their freedom.
‘Price Check’ – November 16
The film follows Pete Coxy (Eric Mabius), a guy who has found himself a house in the suburbs and a job in the pricing department of a supermarket. The job allows him to spend time with his wife and son and they seem happy, even though they have tons of debt to pay off. Then, something changes. When Pete gets a new sexy “I get what I want” boss named Susan Felders (Parker Posey), he gets put on the executive track, his salary doubles, and in turn he has less time to spend with his family. His relationship with his boss soon crosses the line and this creates tension between his personal & professional life. It looks really good.
