Amy Adams & Jake Gyllenhaal Are ‘Nocturnal Animals’ In New Tom Ford Film

nocturnal-animalsIs there anything Tom Ford can’t succeed at? Seriously, though. The 55-year-old not only resurrected Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent, but also launched his own label. If that wasn’t enough, his directorial debut, A Single Man, was critically-acclaimed and also snagged an Academy Award nomination for its star Colin Firth. Ford doesn’t appear to be a victim of the sophomore slump with his follow-up film.

Nocturnal Animals is an adaptation of the Austin Wright book Tony and Susan. It’s a haunting romantic thriller of shocking intimacy and gripping tension that explores the thin lines between love and cruelty, and revenge and redemption. Academy Award nominees Amy Adams and Jake Gyllenhaal star as a divorced couple discovering dark truths about each other and themselves in the movie. The film is the winner of the Grand Jury Prize at the 2016 Venice International Film Festival.

Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Isla Fisher, Karl Glusman, Armie Hammer, Laura Linney, Andrea Riseborough, Michael Sheen, and Ellie Bamber also star. Nocturnal Animals opens in select theaters on November 18 and expands to theaters nationwide December 9. Check out the stylish trailer below.
