The official music video for Nicki Minaj and will.i.am’s joint collaboration is finally here. It’s exactly what I’ve come to expect from the talented female MC. The kick ass track, “Check It Out“, samples The Buggles’ 80′s hit, “Video Killed The Radio Star” which was the first video shown on MTV in 1981. It will be included on Nicki’s debut album, “Pink Friday” which hit stores November 22.
Once again, Minaj channels her inner hip-hop Barbie for the vid. Director Rich Lee filmed the visually pleasing clip. It mixes Japanese anime graphics while Minaj and will.i.am bust out some pretty fierce robotic dance moves. There’s a few wicked special effects during the dance numbers you have to check out. Loving the colorful Japanese characters popping throughout the video. Thanks to Minaj, if I ever need to know how to write “fierce bitch” in Japanese, I now have a vague clue on how to do it.
Be sure to select the “HI” quality option when viewing it. Watching the video grainy doesn’t do it any justice.
You likey or you hatey? I absolutely love it and Minaj. To me, she’s the hip-hop Lady Gaga. Give her a year, and she’ll be insanely huge.

Garbage. Both of them and the song. And yes, it’s Korean, not Japanese. Asians don’t like to be mixed up with other Asian ethnicities haha.

You wouldn’t like having your ethnicity mixed up either if you understood the long and complex geopolitical history of Eastern Asia. The Japanese, Korean, and Chinese have a long and bloody history. Read: Japanese Korean invasion. Read: Early 1900s Korea under Japanese Rule. Read: Rape of Nanking.
In any case, this video is in Korean.

Bloody hell, change your article. while Minaj have said “We’re doing an ode almost to Japanese anime,” the characters are KOREAN HANGUL not Japanese Kanji. Get your facts straight.

It’s Korean. And very crudely translated at that.
Some examples, When she says “…Like my name was that bitch” It says “That little girl.” then “Fucking savage” is translated to “a real beast.” They could have translated a lot better.
